I saw a pin on Pinterest the other day that said "Feeling good about yourself? Have a child draw a picture of you." Kids are so honest, which is great... to an extent. The other day I was lying on the couch with my very vocal and opinionated 3 year old son Adrian (25 y.o. man trapped in a preschooler's body) and he started tapping my leg.
"Mommy, you're jiggly." He observed. My mouth dropped open and I asked him what he had said, assuming that I heard him wrong. He repeated himself. I had heard him right. Then he proceeded to tap my butt and said,
"Mommy, your butt's jiggly, too." I couldn't help but laugh at his serious expression. That taught me that if you want to stay humble, depend on your kids to give you a shocking dose of reality.
