Being a good big brother
« on: Jul 24, 2013 @ 03:13 PM »
I have two adorable boys the oldest Trystan (16 months) and Gavyn (1 month). I put Gavyn in his swing and Trystan will come up to him and grab his hands and play with him talk to him, and then I turn around for a quick second, turn back around and I see Trystan trying to grab Gavyn out of his swing. I tell Trystan "how about you go get baby a toy?" Trystan runs to his room runs back out and puts a toy on Gavyn's lap and then gives him a hug, then runs away. What a good big brother he knows how to share and be nice to his baby brother.

That's so sweet. I love it when they are helpful. Sometimes too helpfull. Be careful.

Once my 18 month old Audrey (now 6 and a total baby whisperer) brought over my friends 6 week old and very gently set her in my lap. She said, "Here mommy... here baby" and then just walked away. At first I thought she had brought me a doll which she often did. Nope, she had pilfered me a live sleeping baby that she plucked out of the swing! Luckily my friend had other kids who she let carry the baby so she wasn't totally mortified that my 18 month old had gone and picked up her baby.

The get a toy suggestion for Trystan is such a great idea.
