A tale of scissors
« on: Jul 10, 2013 @ 11:58 PM »
Hi all, first some background I am a professional seamstress who runs a small shop on Etsy selling mostly dresses for Toddlers.  A little while ago i created this wonderful full length orange and white peasant dress.  I dressed my little angel in the darling dress and took her to a local Koi garden to take some photographs.  We had a lot of fun and finally came home.   ;D When we got home while i was unpacking all the stuff i heard the telltale sound of scissors in action, when i turned around to see what was going on i noticed that somehow my daughter had gotten her hands on my scissors and was making some "alterations" to the front of the dress.   She had opened several rather large slashes in the dress :'( and the item was completely ruined.  In litterally just a few seconds an entire day of work had been reduced to threads.  The only lining on the cloud was that at least i had the pictures so i could list and try to sell a copy of the item and that my daughter was unhurt (the scissors are made in germany and deadly sharp)
