I know, sometimes thinking about slow cooking
can be a bit intimidating but the reality is this..

1. It's healthy
2. Save you a lot of time
3. It's tasty and delicious ( if you following my advice lol)
4. Can save you a lot of money!

So, let's get started.. the following is a simple,
healthy and delicious recipe you can try..

Taste of Autumn Oatmeal
Active time 5 minutes
Total time 8 hours 5 minutes

I get a craving for this recipe just as soon as the leaves start to change.
This overnight oatmeal will make your whole house smell like pumpkin pie.


6 cups water
1 cup half and half
1 cup pumpkin pure
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 1/2 cups steel cut oats
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
1/2 teaspoon salt

Combine all ingredients and pour into slow cooker.
Cook on low for 8 hours. Don't worry if it still looks liquid.

Just give it a good stir and it will come together.

Try serving this with a big dollop of sweetened sour cream
for a delicious flavor akin to pumpkin cheesecake.
