Funny Stories with Bad Drawings
« on: Aug 18, 2014 @ 10:16 AM »
Hi All:

My blog is geared toward storytelling. The site is clean and easy to navigate, and the focus is on the stories I'm telling. I just want to make you laugh. My blog is more a humor blog than anything. I'm actually thinking about spinning some of the jokes into a comedy routine and wandering around some of the local comedy clubs.

Let me know your thoughts. I'm not a website developer and I feel like I've done the best I can within Blogger. I'm not into the follow for a follow thing, but I'm more interested in feedback about how what I can do could be better.

I've been looking for a kind of parenting blog/general humor blog hybrid community, and I hope I've found it here.

I look forward to interacting with everyone.

Best,

Travis

Have you thought about doing podcasts or video to better express your charisma and make for a more connected comical post?

For instance I listen to podcasts while I'm cooking and cleaning because I can't stare at a screen while I do these things.  The few blogs that I found that do podcasts, I go back to when I only want the articles read aloud.  When I'm reading your posts, I imagine a voice but to hear you talk about things with a giggle restrained in the back of your throat might be a good thing.  I read somewhere that not as many people do podcasts as video or writing so it's a good area to get into.

Thanks, MomOnTheMoon:

I have, actually. I've been trying to rope someone into doing a podcast with me since early this year. The initial conversation would revolve around my blog post for the week, and then from there it could wander wherever it needed to. The problem is that I don't want to just roll something out where I read the blog to people, and I need to find someone I can interact with. I've got a guy who's a good storyteller that I work well with and we play off of each other nicely that I'm trying to rope into it. My hope is that inside the next month I can get this thing up and running.

I'm hoping I can get that up and running inside of the next month. Glad to hear we'd have at least one person interested, though, lol.
