I have those moments as well. But, then I go back to my mantra of love me or hate me... it's your choice. I try to be real when I post. I blog for me, and if I can't be real about it, then why am I blogging? Now I do go back and edit what I say to make sure not to offend anyone, that isn't my purpose for blogging. It's just rambling my thoughts

I just moved from the Central FL area. We lived in the eastern part of Orlando for 17 years. There is a lot to do in that area, but yes there are no beaches super close.

Hi everyone! My name is Lori and I'm a return blogger.  I blogged when my children were little and then stopped for a few years. I'm back blogging  now. My sons are 10 and 9. I just moved to a new state, and I'm not working at the time.

I blog about whatever is on my mind. I post recipes, pictures, book reviews and much more. I often post about how I parent my sons. I make a lot of parenting decisions based on my teaching experiences. I taught kindergarten for 9 years before I had my first son, became a stay-at-home mom, then went back to teaching. I've now taught 3rd, 1st and K.

I hope you stop by and read about my journey though life...

Inspired by his experience from rescuing a tree squirrel, Randy Hecht, an aerospace engineer from Southern California invented the educational board game, “It’s A Squirrel's Life.”

Randy decided to engage kids in playing educational board games getting them away from popular video games. He made this choice because he learned board games develop STEM, social and negotiation skills in kids through playful learning.

The Prizes
  • It's A Squirrel's Life Deluxe Board Game
  • It's A Squirrel's Life Classic Board Game
  • Charlie the Squirrel Luxury Plush Toy

The Giveaway is open to the US, Canada, EU and Switzerland. Enter the Giveaway at Support for Stepdads

Started by vishal - Last post by vishal is an edtech company out of Stanford University that connects students to trained tutors in 30 seconds or less, 24/7, over a mobile app. We've recently begun working with influencers during the back-to-school season, and are looking for a small number of mom bloggers who are passionate about math education who'd like to be part of a tutoring session giveaway (limited free hours) to their readers!

Our teaching pedagogy was co-developed with Stanford professors to focus on mastery learning and growth mindset. We hold our tutors accountable to students learning the core concepts, not just finding the right answer.

Here’s a video of a Yup session in action (1). You can also check out our BBC video feature (2)  or read about our partnership with Sesame Street (3) - we are their first investment!

Please reach out to me directly at to learn more :)

Hello everyone I started this blog in hope of finding moms like myself that understand everyday life and its challenges when it comes to the stress and overwhelming feeling of working,  family and raising children. I have no sisters or a lot of friends that I can download with after a busy. I m blogging in hopes of meeting new moms that I can download with and chat with from time to time. Its nice to have people you can kick back with and laugh after a long crazy day.  I need some mommy time to myself and this blog is my way of getting a little time to myself  after my house shuts down at night.
