Title: Could Not Parse This Feed? What does that mean?
Post by: doitallmoms on May 17, 2014 @ 08:52 AM
Hello,

When I go to my directory/comments page, under latest blog posts, it says

"Sorry, Could Not Parse This Feed"

Does anyone know what the issue could be and how I would be able to fix that so that my recent posts start to show up again?  I appreciate any help you can give.  Thanks in advance.

The link above is the page I was referring to.

This is from the Directory FAQ's & should help:

My posts aren't showing on my profile page (http://www.topmommyblogs.com/info/contact_us.php#latest_posts_dont_show_one_profile_page)

The latest posts are being pulled from the registered blog URL (generally your blogs homepage). So if your latest posts aren't showing up, it's because they are unavailable via your registered URL, not your RSS feed if you have added it. If you would like them to show, it's a fix you'll have to address on your blog. For example, in your blogs HTML head area, you should see a tag like this:

<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="MY AWESOME BLOG RSS FEED" href="http://www.myawesomeblog.com/feed/" />

Most blog platforms will have this automatically but it may have gotten removed or if you are using a special page as your home page, that tag may not be in the header and you'll need to add it manually. Of course replace MY AWESOME BLOG RSS FEED with your blog title and http://www.myawesomeblog.com/feed/ with your blogs RSS feed.
