I'm sorry to be trouble. I'd just like to understand a bit better. I understand that the site updates every night at midnight, and that some stats update hourly and some daily, here's where I'm confused.
Over the course of the day, my "unique in" has gone from 9 to 5 (that's b/t 8a-10p).
In the course of the last hour, my "total in" has gone from 13 to 7.
In the course of the last 15 minutes, my "unique in" has gone from 6 to 5.
Am I right in assuming that what will be counted in the rankings is what my account statistics show at midnight?
I'd just like to have a better understanding of how it works. Thank you for your time.
I know it's confusing. Especially when you are watching it very closely. I try to say it's best to not check in so often because you'll drive yourself crazy trying to watch/understand it. It's a complicated tracking process and people often confuse that with it just not working! But it's working.. oddly, but working!
The best way to explain it is that the main ranking pages are a day behind. You'll see up and down changes through the hours but they aren't a "real time" because of the delay. I don't 100% understand that part myself, but it's just how the system is set up. I'm sure the programmers had their reasons for this.
I could tinker with the settings and have all the stats and ranking pages be the same but unfortunately, if I ranked the main pages hourly vs a monthly average, only a few sites would be listed because not everyone sends in referrals every hour. So the way it's set up is to ensure more members more exposure.
