Title: Blogs that are no longer in use...
Post by: JeReveDeParis on Jul 29, 2012 @ 10:19 PM
Hello,

I noticed that some of the blogs on this site haven't even been updated/used for over a year...
Do inactive blogs get to stay on this site?

That is a good question! to me it doesn't seem like they should.  If they have not blogged for a year, in my mind it would be time to take it down.  Hopefully a moderator can answer you soon! :)

Warmly

Fantastic question Alexis!

I just did some inactive blog purging (status update (http://www.topmommyblogs.com/mom-blogger-forum/news_announcements/top_mommy_blogs_directory_status_259.0.html)). I do this several times a year. I have to rely heavily on the blog being actually down to alert me because outside fo visiting 5000+ blogs manually, it's hard to monitor this sort of behavior. Member tip offs are very helpful.

Only active blogs are listed. Meaning your blog has to be sending in traffic in order to show up on the list based on a 30 day average. This is a very fair system {I think} because we all go through blogging funks and so if you need a break or take a few weeks off blogging, you may drop but aren't completely booted.
