Title: To Breastfeed or not to breastfeed?
Post by: whitmac546 on Feb 09, 2015 @ 08:08 AM
I am starting to think I may post my topics too much :-)

This is a big one for me. I debated about making the post for a while but just decided to go for it.

My desire not to breastfeed will probably be criticized by many but I wanted to put it out there. Reading article after article about the subject before making the post was probably a good thing for me to do. I am curious what others think and if they have written about breastfeeding? I would love to read about your experiences if so.

Thanks!

I think it's a great topic. Can/can't/do/don't, etc.

Get ready for some colorful comments though, from my experience. If one of my blog posts even mentioned the word "bottle" I would get the wrath of anti-bottlefeeding trolls... even though I nursed all my kids.

I think you should post about it.
Though my own opinion is that breastfeeding is necessary for any baby, I also believe that any woman has her rights on her own choice. It's not only the baby, who is important, after all.
So there should be posts from those women, who made a different decision. World is not black and white. So are our acts.

Thanks. Surprisingly no one has commented on my blog. I would think that is a good thing but I am going to assume I just don't have a lot of traffic.

I see this post is a few years old but figured I'd comment anyway!

I was a formula feeding mom by choice. For all three of my kids. I didn't breastfeed at all and I found I had no support and was made to feel like a horrible mom by most. Even when I searched online for info all I came across were moms bashing each other instead of solid, supportive advice.

I actually just posted about this on my blog, to try and give formula feeders some support/advice so I think it's a great topic.
