3 year old son just won't mind!
« on: Jun 20, 2013 @ 06:18 PM »
I have 4 kids, so I can honestly say that I've been around the block a time or two with this parenting business. My first 3 kids were girls and then I was finally blessed with a little boy my 4th time. My son Adrian is AMAZING! He is so smart, and will probably be placed in a gifted class upon entering school. He's very funny with the best personality I have ever seen in any human being. And he's very loving and affectionate. HOWEVER, I can't get him to behave! I have exhausted all traditional ways. I've spanked, I've timed-out, I've sent him to his room... NOTHING works! Any ideas, ladies?

Consistancy. Pick a method and stand your ground. I personally would stay away from spanking. If you've ever watched an episopde of Super Nanny...(not nanny 911)...She is amazing, Jo, like the kid whisperer, or something  ;) But you have to be consistant, whichever way you choose. Kids remember everything, believe it or not, and as soon as you falter, they learn the loop holes, buttons, tricks, etc. Good luck to you. I five kiddos and I'm right there with you.

Sorry No advice for you. I'm in the same boat. I have a 2yo DS and a 6yo DD. They are completely different. My son tires me out everyday  :(
