The first thing I had to do was rethink food. Up until I had kids I thought dessert was a necessary part of the meal. I hardly drank water and couldn't identify many of the leafy greens in the produce aisle.
I went to my daughters well baby visit and it was obvious that something wasn't right because she was gaining weight off the charts. I knew I could 'do better' but I wasn't sure how.
I'm on a journey with my family for better health .. screw a diet! We are making new habits, even if that means trying a new food 20x's before my toddler gives in. I got rid of the way I used to snack and invested in a dehydrator to create healthy treats. I even got my kids to eat spinach ice cream (followed by 'more, please'!).
I planned to blog about family and life but I've found great joy in being able to share some of our favorite recipes to break the ice. Take a peek and let me know what you think, I'd love to hear.
