No sugar and low carb diet
« on: Oct 08, 2013 @ 05:22 AM »
Hey everyone,

I had enough of my pregnancy weight so I decided to stop eating/drinking food that had sugar in it such as - juices, teas, coffees, soft drinks, curries from a jar, pasta sauces, jams, chocolates, etc.  I limited my pasta intake to once a week and replaced rice with barley. I stopped eating white bread and made my self hearty sandwhiches using whole meal. This really helped because I was still able to make myself delicious sandwiches and get full and still lose weight.

I also did 100 sit ups and 50 push ups per day.

This combination has helped me to be mindful of what I am eating and encouraged me to excercise as well. However, I do have a bit of a sweet tooth so it's been hard to keep up with it;)  This week I am back on it! Hopefully ;)

Great tips! I am also staying away from carbs and sugars, except at breakfast.

That's a great plan. Eat healthy food, have a good diet and work out (especially cardio) and you will have no problems with your weight. Have a nice day!

Sweet Tooth is my deadly sin! Lol! Some foods I stock up on to help with that...

Popsicles, Fudgesicles, Frozen Go-Gurts, Cold Grapes, Bananas, and the Fiber One cookies...mmm. A little thick in consistency but after eating 1 I am satisfied.

I like your 100 sit ups/50 push ups a day plan... that sounds do-able. Old post so still doing it?

For your sweet tooth, check out my mug cake recipe.  It's my go-to snack for chocolate cravings.  Filing too. I sometimes have it for a meal. OK... sometimes two meals.

I am in this case too. But it's too difficult to eat no sugar for a long time. Can I use sugar for dieters ? :-[ :-[
