I've tried it all
« on: May 02, 2013 @ 10:18 AM »
Hey everyone I have tried dieting since i was about 16 years old. I literally gained weight over night and have struggled with my weight ever since I have tried over the counter pills and every diet known to man. None worked. I did love Atkins I lost 20 lbs in a month but as soon as I  got off I  gained it all right back and even more.  I was starting to get down on myself because of my weight and it makes me self conscience. Also I started about how young my children are and I want to be here for them as long as I can be. So I had taken a trip to my obgyn to get the results of my permanent birth control test. I ended up talking about my weight and crying to him about it and he recommended me to see his nurse in the office who has a weight loss plan going on. I made an appointment for April 8th and she prescribe me a diet pill that's been around forever and gave me a list of things to eat and meal ideas. She recommended me to also get the B12 shots. So far to date I am almost at a 20 lbs loss. The pills help me control my hunger and not crave snacks or sugar which I could never pass on desserts. I always want to eat healthy now i can even pass on a slice of pizza when it is in my face! I exercise more than I ever have. I can really see a change the key here is I'm actually learning to live a much healthier lifestyle and I'm not starving or thinking about everything I want to eat! I'm not saying this is for everyone but maybe if you are starting to beat yourself up and are losing your self esteem you are just making yourself unhappy and that is never a good thing being a mom. So take time to ask your doc or obgyn about weight loss and how they might can help you. Like me I never had guidance when losing weight to know how to eat or how to exercise right. Now with this extra help I feel like I can do it ! Here is also a great site to help you with your goals to track your calories and exercise.

Thanks for reading

Yours Truly,
~YaYa~

That's great! Our doctor is the best place to go for help. We often rely on quick fixes and Google!

What's the name of the pill they put you on?

They gave me Phentermine HCL. My doctor told me its not the newest pill out there. It's been around for years but since I've never had it we would give it a try, also it was the cheapest! So far that is the extra push I needed because it makes me feel full.  I don't eat too much and it takes away any craving I ever had for desserts. I only need one a day where most over the counter pills you have to take about 6 a day. I will say it's not a miracle drug you do have to eat right and exercise. It does however put me in the mindset to eat healthy and I'm learning more of that lifestyle. I do occasionally eat at fast food joints but now I can easily choose the healthy option without the craving of the awesome food I once would order. I have been with the weight loss program since April 9th and to date have lost 25 lbs. I drink water instead of any other drink. I have had 3 drinks total that were flavored water in this journey. I keep out salt, sugar, and keep carbs like bread to a minimum. But I don't feel hungry or like I'm missing out. I can even pass on Birthday cakes at parties!

Not only do I take the pills but I do get the optional B-12 shot. So far I have only had two injections, which the doctor recommends weekly but, like I said that is an option and so far I have chosen to do it bi-weekly.

This might not be for everyone but it is something that is working for me. I believe if I do this under doctor supervision and only take what I am suppose to it's pretty safe. I don't recommend people to go online to find it or get it from friends. If you do want to try it consult with your physician. They are there to help you.

Note: Leslie Sansone Walk at Home DVD's are my main choice of exercise. It make it's easy to exercise in any weather condition and she makes you want  to keep doing it.

I really hope this helps!

this is a great story. I have noticed that myself i had a hard time loosing weight after having my daughter and i would do what i call now " a bandaid diet" where you loose it fast then get off what you are doing and it all comes back on. Then my life changed I decieded to look into beachbody and I am inlove. Took 30 pounds off and it has stayed off for 3 years now. I am the haelthiest i have ever been and in the best shape of my life. The shakeology i drink is sooo godd and amazing and teh workout programs are the best.
