I've had a few requests for a diet and exercise board so it's here and I thought I would kick it off since I am currently doing the Atkins Diet (low carb).
I would have to guess that I have lost over 200 on Atkins. No, not this week but over the last 10 years. Between shedding 20 pounds before my wedding and at least 50 pounds per kid, I have lost a very good amount and several times. I've been putting off the last 15 pounds now for over a year. At some point you can blame it on baby weight anymore. My baby just turned 2!
If you can give up bread and love bacon and cheese, this is a good one to try. Plus you can get creative to sneak in some of the things you can live with out (like faux mashed potatoes using mashed steamed cauliflower and cheese). I'd love to hear any other Atkins fans and what your staples are to get through induction.
My new favorite besides the faux mashed potatoes is buffalo chicken dip with cheese chips.
