Dont We all Deserve More Credit?
We cant all do it the same way, we cant all do it perfectly, but somehow we all find what works for us.
We all make mistakesmostly little ones, occasionally bigger onesin raising our children...
Its not always possible to know whats right in a particular situation; whats right for one mother and baby may in some cases be wrong for another.
Aside from all the lessons Im learning about being a mother, Im also learning how to be a friend to other mothers. Im trying my hardest to take those situations in which I feel judged and to use them to support other women.
It's a perfect balance of accepting our own imperfections as mothers, realizing that motherhood is different for everyone, and finding ways to care for those other mothers around us.
After all, were all doing the same truly terrifying thing: We are raising human beings, small helpless babies who will grow into (we hope) honest, decent, self-functioning adults. No matter what we choose to do about time-outs and diapers, dont we all deserve a little credit for that?
This is a judge-free zone. We are here to support and encourage, not to pass judgement. Everyones stories are valid, everyones idea of healthy their own. You can share opinions, it's welcomed. However please make sure comments  in this group aim to place encouragement and compassion.
Judge-free zone. We have a lot of places in our lives to turn for validation and business opportunity. Please no personal sales.
Refer to our Buy/Sell/Trade page. The Vanilla Housewife is a different type online community, one that you participate in yourself, support, to challenge yourself to view each other with a compassionate lens.
Let us all make a vow to step out of our comfort zone. Strike up a conversation on the playground or on the school pickup line. You never know, it might be the start of a beautiful friendship. That mom who looks like she has it all together? She might be lonely.
We need to get rid of all these preconceived notions we have about each other. Parenthood is challenging journey and we need all the support we can get.
So, find your balance. Be a mom, wife, sister, daughter, friend, neighbor, mentor, employee wear those crazy fun print leggings two weeks postpartum. Do what needs to be done... which sometimes includes taking a little time for yourself even if its just checking Facebook casually inhaling popcorn while your kid run shamelessly around Target. I'm not judging you. 🤞🏼
