I am blogging from Sandy Utah. I just recently moved back here from Texas we lived on North Padre Island off of Corpus Christi. It was my dream to able to live out there right on the beach. The Schools on the Island were amazing along with the people. I had to leave my paradise and follow the love of my life back to good old Utah because of his dream job.
I am an avid artist, writer and cook on top of my favorite job in the world being a mommy. Art has always been a big part of my life. I grew up in a very large artistic family and I was the smallest and most outspoken of the whole group. So instead of trying to make myself seen in this big family I started to write poetry. I was able to get onto the newspaper in Junior High and High School. I Also LOVE to dance, I was part of my schools dance company along with an outside dance company that was a part of all the way up to giving birth to my first son. I did not fall in love with painting until a little later in life. I have always loved to draw but was afraid of paint because a pencil I could always erase paint just seemed too permanent for me. My dad pushed me for years to paint, he always told me my ideas would be so much more beautiful on canvas. So one day I went and bought a big canvas and I haven't stop painting since. My Children have really help me become a better artist as well because they let me see the beauty in things that I may be really critical on as well as let me know if I mess up it can always be painted over.
I feel in a way this is how I deal with issues in my life. Every painting has layers from the canvas to the ending signature. If I start a painting and it just sits there for a few weeks or months I eventually paint over it and move on. I have so many paintings I want to take the time to do so if there is one that is not improving and just taking up space in my art room I paint over it and start new. Forget whether you're right or wrong. The question is: Is what you're doing working or not working?
My dream is to one day be able to travel the world while creating art and making people happy.www.mommyartists.comhttps://www.facebook.com/mommyartistshttps://www.pinterest.com/becca122121/https://twitter.com/Becca122121
