10 month old still somewhat not sleeping at night!!
« on: Sep 02, 2015 @ 01:53 PM »
Moms I need help!! I'm a new mom and my baby even when she was born would always wake up at least once or twice at night to feed, and she still hasn't gotten out of the habit. I've given her oatmeal in her bottle I've even tried the thicker oatmeal before bedtime just feeding it to her. There's some days she will sleep all the way threw and some not. But when she does wake up I won't give her a bottle till about 7am, am I doing something wrong?! Or is she just always going to be like this...

You are not doing anything wrong! Every baby is different, but by now she should be able to go all night without eating. You can try putting her to bed later or leaving her in bed longer so she knows it's not time to get up yet. It takes time, my daughter thought it was time to get up at 4 or 5 am until she was about 8-9 months old. Over time though, she will figure it out. It gets better and you are doing everything you know how to do! Keep it up mom.

Thank you! Yeah that's what I do when she does wake up I just put her in the bed with us lol. I know that's bad but she stays in her crib all night till then. Hopefully she'll start sleeping soon, can't have her up and down when we start having another !! 😜

@Oakleysmom,

She will get there. It takes time, but as long as she is not needing fed at night all should be good. Have you tried giving her cereal with a spoon instead of in her bottle? You can make it thicker that way.

Also, my daughter is 16 months old and still occasionally wakes up at night, but I go in and give her a pacifier and she is fine, just a thought if your LO takes one.
