Wix users not tracking?
« on: Jun 26, 2014 @ 01:42 PM »
I've only encountered this so far with one member, who was using the Wix website builder, but I couldn't get her blog to track. So if you're having rank issues and you're a Wix user, let me know. We never got it resolved and didn't get any suggestions from Wix support on what to do.

So, unfortunately, as of now... Wix is not compatible with TMB. It's the only site builder I've encountered this with. Good news is that since they are still new, things may be changing and their redirect system will hopefully be compatible in the coming months.

The Wix site builder is now working w/TMB!! They've made some updates to their redirect system and now tracking works! Just make sure not to use iframes when adding banners. Iframes will block your tracking. Iframes = bad.

You'll need to manually add the banner. This means:

  • right click on the banner you want to use from the banner farm then save it to your computer
  • go to the add option on the left-side editor (looks like a circle with a plus inside of it)
  • click add image without frame
  • click the orange 'upload image' button on the top right of the add images frame
  • Once it's uploaded click on it so it is highlighted
  • click the orange 'add images' button on the bottom right
  • Drag to it to where you want it
  • click the image and select 'link to' on the drop down menu that will appear
  • Select web address and put in http://www.topmommyblogs.com

Thanks Allison from http://www.armywifestyleblog.com/ for testing & the above directions
