I completely agree with each and everyone of you. I know quite a few people that all you see on their blog is review after reviews. I lose interest in even looking at it. Plus I have seen the blogs where I am thinking where do I comment or even follow? It is a bit annoying.

I believe one of the most important things new and veteran bloggers should keep in mind is creating unique content that provides value to the readers. This may be slightly different for someone who manages their own personal blog, but for the bloggers looking to gain a following and monetize their blog, creating unique content is the most important thing to focus on.

Additionally, on top of creating valuable and unique content I believe that a steady schedule of posts is very important. To develop a solid reader base that 1) recommends your site to others 2) keeps coming back to read more and 3) shares your content through different channels you need to have a post frequency that is consistent.

Loyal readers and new visitors don't want to see that you post once one week then post 5 posts two weeks later within a 2 day time period. They like to see consistency.

When I blogged, I always found it helpful to create certain types of posts for certain days. For example, Monday may be for personal thoughts, Tuesday may be for where I am in achieving a personal/professional goal or milestone, Wednesday may be for link sharing, Thursday may be for posts on how to start an online business, etc.

Ultimately, unique content and consistency always wins. It's tough to stay consistent at times since life gets busy but keep a positive attitude and you'll be on your way to building a successful blog.
