It really depends on what you're looking for in a service and a blogger.
If you're looking for free service then you have two options 1) stick with Blogger or 2) switch over to WordPress.com
Your third option is to go the self-hosted WordPressroute, which is where you use WordPress (the software also known as a Content Management System or CMS) with a web hosting provider of your choosing.
mentioned, there are many web hosts such as GoDaddy and HostGator that provide web hosting that supports WordPress. Mommy Host also supports WordPress and automatically sets up WordPress for our customers on their domain. If you need help with transferring your site or migrating over from one host to another we also provide that service free of charge.
Fortunately, there are many ways to transfer your site over from Blogger to WordPress.
With more flexibility (using WordPress) this does open you up to causing issues with your site if you dig into the code or try to edit things without knowing what you're doing. In my opinion, a self-hosted version of WordPress is the route to go. Finding the right host for your self-hosted version of WordPress on your own domain is also key.
WordPress is VERY user friendly. It takes a little time to learn everything but you'll notice over time that it's very intuitive and boasts A LOT of functionality because of intregrations such as Visual Composer and other plugins available on the market today. With anything, it will take time to get used to and may be frustrating. It's a learning curve everyone goes through when they switch over to WordPress.
