Graphics for blog posts
« on: Jul 01, 2014 @ 04:33 PM »
Hi!

What programs do you recommend for graphics on your posts, mainly the text-over graphics that have the title of the post in them?

Thanks!

I use adobe illustrator and photoshop. But, PicMonkey is great. They have a free version or paid version. Can edit pictures, add graphics, or create graphics.

I use both photoshop and picmonkey but the easiest would be picmonkey. You can purchase a paid version for only $4.99 a month.
I wrote a post about creating labels / graphics through picmonkey here: http://theherbalhealingmama.com/2014/10/19/how-to-create-product-labels-using-picmonkey/

I draw all of mine in a Windows 8 app called Fresh Paint. But I probably operate a bit differently than most, lol.

I'd say Photoshop is by far the best, but there are plenty of free alternatives. Some of my favorites are the following:

http://www.picmonkey.com/

I hope that helps!  ;D ;D ;D

Another great editor is Pixlr (https://pixlr.com/).

Just scroll down on the page and click the Launch Web App and you can use Pixlr in your browser without having to download any software.

Hi! this is my first comment in this blog, my friend recommended it to me, Im so happy.

Ill say Photoshop is the best, recently I've been using Illustrator, but to me it's kinda complex, and there are loooots of tutorials for Photoshop. Canva its also a good alternative

I see you noticed I shared your tutorial above on one of my wordpress blogs, they are new and I am just starting with WP, have been and still do, use Blogger for years. Also creating a WP blog for my digital graphics resources.

As it says on the post I made there, you can find a whole slew of free graphic apps here:

(hope this link is ok to post)

Thanks for commenting, that's a head start on WP...  :-*
